At what stage is it best to install? post plumbing / Pre framing?
In a new home you can install Warmboard-S right at the beginning, directly over the joist. If the subfloor is already in place, you can install either before or after the walls. Before walls is typically more efficient, but many are concerned about puncturing the tubing. Keeping a jobsite clean and/or covering the panels with a Ram board or thin plywood sheet can solve that problem. After framing not as efficient, requires more custom routing, possibly running the loops a bit differently, but it reduces risk of a tubing hit, so this is often preferred by builders.
We typically design a system to use tubing and panels before walls, but a large percentage of our clients prefer after – so whatever works best for you. We can walk you through all options and see what works best for your individual project. 877.338.5493
